Through their lineup of boats and outboards, GatorTail is helping anglers and hunters reach places they never thought possible. Dedicated to improving on the status quo, designing field-tested products that can stand up to any punishment, anywhere.

GatorTail is the product of passion and innovation, founded in 2004 by Kyle and Blaine Broussard. As lifelong duck hunters, they wanted to create a motor that was tough enough to reach the most remote duck pond and marshes, but also make something that’s adaptable and easy to operate. In other words, they wanted the best and the outboard market hadn’t come up with an answer.

So, when Kyle’s senior project as a mechanical engineer came up, he knew exactly what he wanted to do—design the world’s best outboard, surface-drive motor. Between he and Blaine, their initial design eventually became GatorTail’s game-changing mud motor. It’s the smoothest, toughest, and most adaptable mud motor on the planet. And yes, Kyle got on “A” on his project.

But, Kyle, Blaine, and the team at GatorTail didn’t stop there. As a company dedicated to continual improvement and innovation, they've expanded their offerings since the early days. Some of our models include the best-seller Extreme Series, center-console systems like the Redfish, XL, and Bowfish Series, the stick-steer Predator Series, and many more. Each model is built to meet and exceed any challenge Mother Nature can throw at it, helping hunters and anglers spend more time on the water and be more effective in the field.

Now, GatorTail is represented on the water around the world. Beyond outdoor pursuits, their dependable boats and motors have been used to support rescue efforts during floods and hurricanes by the Louisiana National Guard, as well as other private and individual efforts.
